AnanTaya is the globally recognized interdisciplinary lifestyle design studio of Ayush (designer) and Geetanjali (architect) Kasliwal based in Jaipur, India. AnanTaya is committed to the development of innovative new ideas through understanding the importance of preserving traditional crafts. AnanTaya creates home accessories, gifts, textiles, lights, furniture, tableware and more. Rooted in ancient craft practices, the collections are infused with Indian culture and a sense of place destined for a contemporary international lifestyle. The products appeal to both the discerning eye and the human heart. Through inclusive business practices, working with artisans from Rajasthan and throughout India, AnanTaya redefines existing craft traditions and artisan communities by providing design, technology, capital, and creative collaboration.
AnanTaya pioneered a bespoke annual festival in 2013, 'MaahiRoj: Earth Day Everyday' a Jaipur icon of the Design and Craft Scenario based on sustainable practices for the earth, where one gets hands-on experience and opportunities to develop, meet and interact with awarded designers, master artisans, and stakeholders. MaahiRoj shares the values of eco-luxe design and sustainability with like-minded Partners with Artisan and Designer led Talks, Retail, Workshops about movements sweeping the world.
The guiding force, Ayush Kasliwal, an NID alumnus, is one of India’s leading design thinkers, practitioners and advocates for artisans. He, with his wife, Architect, Geetanjali Kasliwal, founded AnanTaya & AKFD focused on Furniture, Lighting, Accessory and Product Design. Nominated 100 most Influential Design firms in Indian Subcontinent 2020, 2019, 2018 by Architectural Digest, they were awarded EDIDA India-Tabletop 2020; Flooring 2018; Kitchen 2017, Lexus Design Award 2020 & 2019, SIDBI India Best employment Generating MSE Award 2019, IBDA 2018 for Projects, Images Retail Award 2018 for innovation, POOL Best Furniture Design Studio of India 2016, EDIDA 2016 Kitchen, Interior Lifestyle Award 2015 by Messe Frankfurt, and were finalist of CII Design Award 2015. AnanTaya has been featured in The Million Dollar Designer Show, USA, 2012, The Alchemy Exhibit at the Metro, UK (2012), Salon De Mobile Milan 2010,‘Talents a la Carte’ at Maison et Object, Paris, France, 2008. It has received attention from worldwide media like Condé Nast Traveler, Vogue, the New York Times, Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, Harpers Bazaar, Wallpaper, as well as by many individual connoisseurs of art and design. The clientele includes Anthropologie (US), ABC Home (US), The Conran Shop (UK), CB2 (USA), Louis Vuitton and Tom Dixon (UK), who have presented their products in London, Paris, Frankfurt, Tokyo and New York. AnanTaya products also decorate the VIP Lounge at T3 New Delhi International Airport where over one million passengers each year feast their eyes on the best of Indian artistry.
