The Finance Minister (Fin Min) carries a small leather suitcase each year to parliament with the most important document for the country – its’ budget. Ironically the budget erpetually pays little attention to the second largest employment source in the country – artisans. In homage to these facts, we have created a finely crafted small leather suitcase lined with gajji silk, intricately block printed in natural dyes by the Ajrakh artisans from near Bhuj in Kutch.
This impressive accessory is a reminder to the Finance Minister to “appreciate the artisans”.
